I’m thrilled that my short memoir, “Toolbox” is featured in this anthology on grief and loss. Without giving too much away, the story is about my father and the sometimes tenuous relationship we had, and issues I needed to face after his death.

This book is a collection of 108 personal stories put together by Darrin Griffiths Ed.D. and Sandre Griffiths, associate editor of Word and Deed Publishing who are also authors. In the forward by Dr. Alan Wolfelt, a “renowned grief expert”, he writes:

“As we tell how our grief impacts our lives, we allow ourselves to come to know who we are in new and unexpected ways. We allow ourselves to be vulnerable and that contradicts the isolation that all too often exists when we experience grief in our lives.”

There are other professional endorsements which makes me very proud to have my story included with so many others. Sandre’s email to me said; “Thank you for sharing your story with us. Your heartfelt story has helped us create the mosaic we were hoping for.”

So check out Goodbye for Now. The book is divided into various sections like loss of parents, children, siblings, etc. To help you, I’m including a link: https://www.amazon.com/Goodbye-Now-True-Stories-Life/dp/1999422457/ref=sr_1_1?crid=YJK16V7YELY0&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ki_Ha2I00fF91rHmcj1ZThS5m2mSEL7sOkwYs4rkXOWbFhLb59XYNyl4Rmr7-U73n-taSSNR1n5AMyzROArBw-ogUNDxAQpFPrnp7wqH3xfQzOS4dIDMhEp3hcumYX_gmat5kNvID-DNpXnJAZindAWmB_C4YpMF8I4nKzPLvdjJMOiG8Vd3iarNnb_HeXpii0JFR43eX-oY9zr8a4N32tc1nMBRel3kjgb2I3_acKw.hu_8LA_4uiPDdLtLJ_xWPiQc2OmctU4moQdDce-V9Mo&dib_tag=se&keywords=goodbye+for+now+book&qid=1732487669&sprefix=Goodbye+For+N%2Caps%2C116&sr=8-1

(I know there’s a way to shorten the link… but I forgot!)

Thank you for supporting not only all the authors, but the publishing of a book which may help anyone in the midst of grief and loss, looking for some comfort; haven’t we all been there?
